MASTPRO film and automotive window film are both polyester based film. This means that both films require heat molding to be properly installed. Due to the 4mil thickness of MASTPRO, an installer must use more heat and a longer application of the heat to properly heat mold MASTPRO. Once the liner has been removed, the installer requires use of more force than what is used on automotive window film to adhere the windshield film to the glass.
