The antistatic PET protective film is mainly used for the protection of the glass and plastic surfaces, that is, no glue remains, and the peeling voltage is controlled during the period, so that when the protective film is peeled off, a large voltage will not break down the substrate. The period is mainly divided into single-sided (adhesive side) antistatic and double-sided (adhesive side, reverse side) antistatic.
The glued surface is antistatic. The principle is to add an antistatic agent to the glue and apply the glue to make it have an antistatic effect.
There are two ways of antistatic on the reverse side: one is to apply an antistatic coating on the PET film, and the other is to add an antistatic agent during the production of PET. The former method of adding coating is easy to damage the coating during storage and transportation, and weaken the antistatic effect. This is why the antistatic protective film has a shorter shelf life than ordinary protective films, and its advantage is low cost.
The disadvantage of the latter method of adding antistatic agents is high cost, but its relatively long shelf life makes many users choose to use this protective film for shipping protection.
The two protective films with adhesive thickness of 0.05mm and 0.085mm are strictly controlled to the antistatic coefficient between the 9th power of 10-10 the 11th power. And its viscosity of about 8g also makes it play a prominent role in the protective glass, that is, it will not be too sticky to tear, nor too non-sticky to stick.
